The UK Perioperative Medicine Clinical Trials Network (POMCTN) is hosting a New Trial Development Day on Monday 23 April 2018, to be held at the Royal College of Anaesthetists in London.
The Trial Development Day will examine three research questions which have been selected based on lack of clinical evidence in these areas:

- PROPOSAL 1: Does total intra-venous anaesthesia have any advantages over inhalational anaesthesia?
Led by: Dr Joyce Yeung - PROPOSAL 2: Is there a benefit in a restrictive blood transfusion policy in cancer surgery?
Led by: Dr Mike Gillies - PROPOSAL 3: Can we reduce the number of antimicrobial doses used for perioperative prophylaxis?
Led by: Prof Rupert Pearse
